Satghara Shrinathji Varta
Sathghara of Mathura is Pustimarg’s first Haveli in india which is situated in Mathura U.P(birth place of shri lord krishna) kunj Gali(small street)has a precious treasure hidden in it. Long back all the seven Nidhi Swaroop of Vallabhkul used to reside here. The proponent of Pustimarg Shri Vallabhacharyaji’s son Shri Vittalnathji used to reside here. Gausaiji for the first time in Mathura lived in this Haveli. For all Pustimarg Vaishanavs both in India and abroad sathaghara in Mathura is a Pavitra thirtha kshetra ( sacred place). This Haveli is a 500 years old heritage house. The Gali or street is also called Satghara Gali.
The present structure or Swaroop of sathaghara is very small. This is one of the Pracheen sthan ( old place) of Shri Gausaiji. Shri Gausaiji along with his family came from Adel in 1566 and lived here in Mathura with three rooms. Here Pustimarg’s seven Nidhis and Navneetpriyaji were worshipped. Shreeji himself named it as Sathaghara. Akbar’s wife Taj Bibi had visited Sathaghara and had done Shreeji seva. It is here Akbar gave the title of ‘Goswami’ to Shri Vittalnathji. Since then Goswami Parampara started in Pustimarg. At the same time he gave Jagir ( ownership) of Gopalapur or Jatipur as Bhet.
After giving 7 Swaroop to each of his sons Gosaiji left to Gokul. Gaddi ( samadhi in the shape of bed) of seven Vallabhkul Balak is present now in Sathaghara. This big Haveli of Sathaghara was build by Rani Durgadevi of Gadaa, Madhya Pradesh. At present the big Haveli is not there but we see a small house in which Shreenathji’s charan Chowki is present.
* On Phalguna Krishna Saptami Shreenathji came to Mathura. He stayed in Sathaghara for 6 months or so. Vallabhkul balaks did seva of Shreeji Bhava very well. Goswami vitthalnathji elder son Shri girdhar ji did all dedication( a ceremony in which everything along with soul is dedicated to some goal or purpose) along with there family on this date shrinathji patotsav celebrate at all over Pustimarg’s haveli.
